Dr Iqbal Malik is a consultant cardiologist at the forefront of interventional cardiology. With a distinguished career spanning decades, he specialises in advanced cardiac diagnostics, minimally invasive procedures, and treating coronary artery and heart valve disease. Dr Malik works at the London Cardiovascular Clinic, based at One Welbeck Heart Health, and does private procedures at Wellington Hospital and Sainsbury Wing, Hammersmith Hospital. He also maintains a large NHS practice, at NHS institutions Hammersmith Hospital and Royal Brompton Hospital. He has held many roles nationally and in the hospitals. Currently he is the lead for the TAVI and PFO/ASD service at Hammersmith Hospital. This highlights his dedication to improving patient outcomes through expert care and modern treatments. He has trained a generation of new cardiologists who now rock around the UK. Dr. Malik is respected for his clinical expertise and the trust he inspires in his patients. He has also been recognised for his professionalism and compassionate approach, earning TopDoctors awards in 2018 and 2021. His research interests are in Valve disease and coronary disease. He has over 100 research publications. He was involved in a leading publication on TAVI in the NEJM (a top medical journal ) in 2025.
