This information is provided by Mr Ian Marsh.
I was appointed a Consultant in 1990 and have offered strabismus services since. I have undertaken over 5000 strabismus operations and 3000 botulinum toxin injections. 75% of my NHS work is in this area of sub specialty. I also continue my skills in cataract surgery both in NHS and privately. I do not offer premium lens implantation as our Trust does not offer this and I do not undertake treatments in private practice that I do not undertake in the NHS. I can testify to the efficacy of modern cataract surgery having undergone this procedure myself with the insertion of a monofocal lens in one eye. I have published a number of articles in peer reviewed journals in relation to my sub specialty. I also undertake medico legal practice.
Ophthalmology - Adult Strabismus
I offer a specialist interest in strabismus treatment and management in both adults and children using surgery, adjustable sutures and botulinum toxin. I also offer cataract surgery but do not insert premium lenses.
