Mr Iain McGraw

Mr Iain McGraw is an experienced Consultant Hand and Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer with the University of Glasgow. He graduated from the University of Aberdeen Medical School with commendation in 2005 and undertook his surgical training on the West of Scotland Orthopaedic training programme. He subsequently undertook a Fellowship in Hand surgery in England involving dual training in both Plastic Surgery as well as Orthopaedic Surgery. After completing his hand surgery training, he then completed a Royal College of Surgeons/Ethicon Travelling Fellowship in Hand surgery in Philadelphia, USA as well as an AO Trauma Fellowship in Texas. In 2017, he became one of just a few surgeons in Scotland to be awarded the prestigious Diploma in Hand Surgery, awarded jointly by the British Society for Surgery of the Hand and the University of Manchester. He serves as Course Chair for AO Trauma Courses and in 2025 was elected to serve on the Council of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand. Iain prides himself on his safe and pragmatic approach and will take time to fully assess and clearly discuss all your treatment options.
