Mr Hasan Usmani

Mr Hasan Usmani was awarded his MBBS degree by the Aga Khan University in Karachi, before undertaking specialist training in Ophthalmology at the esteemed Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. His training encompassed all aspects of general ophthalmology and culminated in a subspecialty fellowship in Cornea, Anterior Segment, and Refractive Surgery, working alongside some of the most distinguished surgeons in the North West. Throughout his career, Mr Usmani has achieved multiple national and international qualifications, recognising his knowledge and skills in Ophthalmology. Following the completion of his training, he was appointed Lead Corneal Consultant at East Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. In addition to his clinical work, Mr Usmani serves as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Lancashire Medical School, where he teaches Ophthalmology. He has also contributed to the academic community as an examiner for both the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. A dedicated educator and mentor, Mr Usmani is deeply committed to training and supervising resident doctors, helping to shape the next generation of ophthalmic surgeons.
