GMC reg: 3544048Mr Happy Hoque is an experienced Consultant Breast and General Surgeon whose NHS practice was based at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Sidcup. He was a recognised breast screening surgeon for the South East London Breast Screening Programme (King’s College Hospital). Mr Hoque was educated at The Stationers' Company's School and the City of London School and graduated from King’s College School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1991. He obtained an intercalated BSc degree and the Associateship of King’s College as well as his medical degree. He also obtained a Council Scholarship and three prizes including two national. His basic surgical training was in London and the South East, and he was appointed to the South East Thames Specialist Registrar Rotation that included training in the Breast units of Guy’s Hospital, King’s College Hospital, Lewisham Hospital, Brighton, Crawley and the Princess Royal University Hospital. Mr Hoque was appointed as a Consultant Breast and General Surgeon to Queen Mary’s Hospital Sidcup in February 2005. He has held various additional roles during this time including Undergraduate Surgical Tutor, Clinical Director and Associate Medical Director as well as Principal Investigator for various breast cancer studies. He has obtained the KSS Certificate in Teaching and seven clinical excellence awards. He retired from his NHS practice in April 2024 and continues in private practice, based mainly at The Blackheath Hospital.
