Dr Sandy Gupta, MBBS MD FRCP Consultant Cardiologist Whipps Cross and BartsHealth NHS Hospitals Trust, London, UK Dr Gupta has been Consultant Cardiologist at Whipps Cross and St Bartholomew’s Hospitals, London, UK since 1999. He completed his undergraduate medical degree at St.George’s Hospital Medical School, University of London in 1988. His clinical training in Cardiology have included posts at St. Bartholomew’s, King’s College and St. George’s Hospitals, London. He has been involved in the research area of ‘inflammation and heart disease’ and was awarded a British Heart Foundation (BHF) research fellowship as part of his MD thesis. Author of text-book, over 50 peer-published papers and editorials and several book chapters. Involvement in several projects with NHS London/Olympics 2012 Health Legacy initiatives. Has given delivered over 250 invited Guest Lectures at Symposia in over 60 different countries plus numerous voluntary, community and school talks on heart disease awareness.
