Mr Gray Edwards

Mr Edwards is an NHS Consultant in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery at the Bristol Royal Infirmary and North Bristol NHS Trusts. He specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of injuries and conditions affecting the shoulder, elbow and hand, offering both contemporary open and arthroscopic techniques in their management. Mr Edwards acquired broad and high quality experience in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery whilst completing his higher surgical training on the Bristol programme. He then completed advanced fellowship training at the Melbourne Shoulder and Elbow Centre, Australia and at the Avon Orthopaedic Centre, Bristol focusing on cutting edge shoulder replacement surgery and soft tissue reconstruction techniques. Gray was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training and is listed in the General Medical Council Specialist Register. Mr Edwards regularly utilises both contemporary open and arthroscopic techniques in the management of upper limb pathologies such as rotator cuff tears, shoulder joint instability (Dislocations), shoulder and elbow arthritis, tendon injuries around the elbow and nerve compression syndromes around the elbow and hand. He is an active member of the trauma team at the Bristol Royal Infirmary dealing with complex upper limb injuries and general orthopaedic trauma.
