My name is Gareth Stables and I am a Specialist Knee Surgeon based in Cheshire . I can help you with your knee pain. I will help you get the right diagnosis and provide you with the best treatments to get rid of your knee pain and give you back your quality of life. I have been looking after people with knee problems for over 18 years. What I have learnt over the years is that consultants who specialise in one thing tend to have the best results. That’s why I chose to only look after and help people with knee problems. I can help you with: Diagnosing your knee pain - getting to the bottom of what’s causing the pain, arranging investigations such as MRI scans and X-rays , making sure you understand what the problem is and helping you fix it. Knee arthritis - I can help diagnose knee arthritis early and will be able to offer treatments such as specialist joint injections (that are not always available on the NHS). Early diagnosis and treatment can help you avoid major surgery. If you need surgery, such as a knee replacement , I will help you chose if surgery is right for you and I will only perform the surgery that is right for you . Sports injuries - for example, helping you get active and playing again after a cartilage tear or cruciate ligament tear providing  treatments including specialist key-hole surgery (knee arthroscopy) and non-surgical treatments including specialist joint injections to help you heal. I will also provide access to a team of specialist therapists who will make sure you have the best possible outcomes following your injury or surgery.
