Mr Fearghal Toner

Mr Fearghal Toner is a Consultant ENT Surgeon with a specialist interest in otology, providing expert care for both adult and paediatric patients. He has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of ear, nose, and throat conditions, with particular expertise in disorders of hearing and the middle ear. His clinical practice commonly includes the assessment and treatment of hearing loss, glue ear, tonsillitis, eardrum perforations, tinnitus, and nasal obstruction. Mr Toner is committed to delivering evidence-based care tailored to each patient, ensuring clear communication and a thorough understanding of treatment options. Mr Toner graduated in Medicine from Queen’s University Belfast in 2007. He completed his Foundation and Higher Surgical Training in Northern Ireland before undertaking the prestigious Graham Fraser Fellowship in Cochlear and Auditory Implants in Sydney in 2019. This advanced fellowship provided specialised training in complex ear surgery and implantable hearing technologies, further strengthening his expertise in otology. He holds a substantive Consultant post within the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, working at both the Ulster Hospital and the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. Alongside his NHS role, Mr Toner offers private consultations and treatment, providing timely access to specialist ENT care in a professional and supportive environment.
