GMC reg: 6154844Ms Evgenia Anikina is an accomplished cataract and retinal surgeon and a medical retina specialist. She has trained at Cambridge University and at Moorfields Eye Hospital, the leading ophthalmic centre in the UK. She has multiple clinical and surgical areas of interest, in particular the medical and surgical treatment of diabetic eye disease, treatment of sub-macular haemorrhage and intraocular lens exchange/secondary lens implants. She has published in peer reviewed journals and presents regularly at national and international professional meetings. She is passionate about medical education and holds a number of educational roles, including acting as an Educational Supervisor to specialist ophthalmic trainees in the region, serving as an examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and being a member of the RCOphth Clinical Skills Faculty, supervising microsurgical skills courses since 2015. She speaks English and Russian fluently and consults in central London, central Reading and Windsor as well as via remote video consultation.
