Dr Emilian Epurescu

I am the Consultant Medical Oncologist for Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and as Chemotherapy Clinical lead for Cancer Services I ensure a high quality chemotherapy delivery service across the East of Anglia Cancer Network. I undertook my specialist training at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London and Weston Park Hospital (specialist cancer centre) in Sheffield and during this time I gained an MSc in Oncology at the University of Nottingham. One of my achievements since starting at NNUH in 2003, was the introduction of the scalp cooling cap which prevents hair loss in patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment. I've promulgated a proceleusmatic approach in terms of introduction of  novel therapies and  phase 2/3 clinical trails in Breast/Ovarian and Colo-rectal cancer  I am married with a son and enjoy chess, skiing, skating and scuba diving

I treat breast, ovarian and colo-rectal cancers and my specialist clinical interest is mainly in biological treatment such as monoclonal antibodies and tyrosine kinase Inhibitors
