Mr Wood is a fellowship trained, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, with a specialist interest in Foot & Ankle Surgery. He qualified from Liverpool University Medical School in 1996 and was appointed as a Consultant in 2009. He has over 15 years of experience in clinical practice, both at the Countess of Chester Hospital and Grosvenor Nuffield Hospital, covering a broad spectrum of conditions affecting the Foot & Ankle. Mr Wood is has been involved with the British Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society for most of his Consultant career, holding various committee and council posts. Currently he is a member of the Clinical Practice Committee, with responsibility for the national BOFAS Registry, amongst other duties. He has a keen interest in postgraduate medical education and undertook a PGCERT in 2013, and remains involved in the the training of future Consultants.
