Mr Drahoslav Sokol

I am a fellowship trained consultant neurosurgeon practising in NHS Lothian. In addition I have a private practice in Spire Hospital in Edinburgh. In private practice I focus on treating cervical disc herniation, lumbar disc herniation, spinal stenosis and other degenerative spine disorders. My expertise however encompasses a much broader field of neurosurgery and I am happy to provide consultations in that regard. I have been appointed to my current post of consultant Neurosurgeon in NHS Lothian in 2013. Although most of my practice involves spinal procedures and general neurosurgery, I have also a special clinical focus on epilepsy, paediatric and vascular neurosurgery. I like to use new technology in my work but it is important to be aware of its limitations and my aim is to provide the most suitable therapy with highest chance of success.
