GMC reg: 2636186I have been a consultant cardiologist for over 26 years. I have helped pioneer several cardiological techiques including radial atery cardiac catheterisation. I have published on coroary artery angioplasty and on congenital heart disease in the New England Journal of Medicine and have papers on coronary artery disease in the Britiish Medical Journal as well as papers on syncope and pre-hospital coronary care in other highly respected peer reviewed journals. Until 2016, I was a member of the Royal College of Physicians Specialist Advisory Committee in Cardiology and I have also been a member of the British Cardiovascular Society Training Committee. I have also been the Programme Director for all Cardiology training within the Severn Deanery. I am currently responsible for all cardiology training within my NHS hospital. I am currently the Royal College of Physicians Advisor in Cardiology for the South West of England. I am currently employed as a full-time consultant in Cardiology in my NHS hospital and I fully participate in the emergency on the 24/7 emergency on call cardiology rota. On the recreational, side, I lead my folk/rock group, The Wiltshire Heart Throbs.
