Dr. Udit Mittal, MBBS, MRCP (UK), FRCP (Edin), is a distinguished Consultant Gastroenterologist with extensive expertise in advanced gastrointestinal endoscopy. After qualifying as a doctor in 2006, Dr. Mittal completed his internal medicine training in Sheffield, followed by specialist training in gastroenterology and endoscopy in Oxford. He joined the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, as a Consultant Gastroenterologist in September 2022. Dr. Mittal is deeply committed to providing personalized, patient-centered care. His advanced expertise spans a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal conditions and endoscopy, with a particular focus on high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. His subspecialist interests include early cancer detection, complex polyp resection, familial GI polyposis syndromes, and inflammatory bowel disease. As a nationally accredited bowel cancer screening colonoscopist, Dr. Mittal is recognized for his high-quality standards in colonoscopy and performs a substantial volume of upper and lower endoscopic procedures annually. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Mittal serves as the Regional Representative for Oxfordshire on the British Society of Gastroenterology Clinical Services and Standards Committee and as the Regional Specialty Adviser for the Royal College of Physicians, London.
