GMC reg: 3240416Dr Steven Lindsay is a consultant cardiologist at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHSFT and an honorary consultant at Leeds General Infirmary. He also has private practices at Leeds Nuffield Hospital and The Yorkshire Clinic. He specialises in general and interventional cardiology with interests in hypertension, heart failure, coronary and ischaemic heart disease, angina, arrhythmias, palpitations, and general cardiology. Dr Lindsay is also involved in the clinical research of novel treatments for various cardiovascular conditions including atrial fibrillation, heart failure, ischaemic heart disease and coronary interventions. He is Deputy Operational Medical Director at Bradford Teaching Hospitals and clinical lead of the West Yorkshire Cardiac Clinical Network. Dr Lindsay gained his medical degree from Queen's University Belfast in 1987 before specialising in cardiology. He spent time as a senior registrar at the University of Leeds and gained an MD with distinction in 1999. Dr Lindsay was appointed consultant cardiologist in 2000. He became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2003 and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 2011. Dr Lindsay is a member of a number of professional organisations including the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society, the European Society of Cardiology, and the British Cardiovascular Society. He has served on the clinical standards committee of BCIS and is a previous member of BCS council.
