Dr Sahana Gupta

I am a consultant obstertrician and gynaecologist at Northwick Park Hospital. I do private gynaecology at Clementine Churchill Hospital. I graduated and postgraduated from India and then acquired a further postgraduate degree here (MRCOG). I trained as a gynaecologist intially in India and then in the UK. I have been working as a consultant for 12 years now. My special interests are menstrual disorders, PCOS, PMS and PMDD, menopause and recurrent miscarriage. I am passionate about providing scientific, evidence based, women centred and holistic menopause care. I started the recurrent miscarriage service at Northwick Park Hospital and have been running it since 2014. My aim is to provide robust and evidence based care to women with history of recuurent pregnancy loss, most of whom will go on to have a successful pregnancy without any intervention. I teach both undergraduate and postgraduate students and provide pastoral care to any trainee who needs it. I examine undergraduate students and keep my self up to date by reading relevant journals and attending national and international conferences. When I am not working I like to read books on quantum physics and philosophy. I like gradening, cooking and travelling. I have got twin teen age sons. My husband is an ENT specialist and works in the NHS.

Menstrual disorders which includes heavy menstrual bleeding, intermenstrual bleeding, premenstrual spotting, bleeding with intercourse and post menopausal bleeding. Recurrent miscarriage including late miscarriages. Infertility PCOS vulval disorders like vulval pain also known as vulvodynia, lichen sclerosis, bartholins cyst and abscess. Menopause and holistic management of menopausal problems PMS and PMDD Vaginal discharge, bacterial vaginosis and sexually transmitted infection.
