GMC reg: 4306308I graduated from Leeds University in 1996. Following cardiology training across West Yorkshire I successfully obtained a British Heart Foundation Junior Research Fellowship and subsequently completed a 3-year period of research investigating the role of the autonomic nervous system in cardiovascular disease. I was awarded a PhD from the University of Leeds in 2003.Before beginning life as a Consultant, I took the opportunity to enhance my training by accepting a Clinical Fellowship at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Canada. There I received extensive training in advanced heart failure with a particular emphasis on complex device therapy including resynchronisation pacing and the use of implantable defibrillators.In addition to my private practice I am an NHS Consultant Cardiologist working at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Palpitations and heart rhythm disturbances. Investigation of the breathless patient; Angina (chest pain) assessment including coronary angiography; Syncope (blackouts); Pacemaker implantation; Heart failure management; Cardiac resynchronisation therapy; Automatic implantable defibrillators; Preventative cardiology including cardiovascular risk assessment and the management of hypertension (high blood pressure) and hyperlipidaemia (high cholesterol).
