GMC reg: 6065027Originating from Singapore, he undertook his undergraduate medical training at Queens’ College, Cambridge University on a Cambridge Commonwealth Trust Scholarship. He was awarded a double first in the Medical and Veterinary Sciences Tripos, and distinction in Medicine. Following this, he completed his post-graduate training in London and Oxford. He then went on to complete his PhD in invasive electrophysiology at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College where he won the Young Investigators Award in Electrophysiology at the Heart Rhythm Congress in 2015. He holds the European Heart Rhythm Association certification in Invasive Cardiac Electrophysiology. His research interests are in improving clinical outcomes of catheter ablation for the treatment of atrial fibrillation, through the development of novel mapping techniques with the use of cutting edge 3D electro-anatomic mapping technology. As an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in Imperial College, he currently supervises PhD studentships in invasive electrophysiology. He is regularly invited to speak at both national and international conferences.

Dr Norman Qureshi is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist with Imperial College Healthcare and Buckinghamshire NHS Trust. He specializes in the management of patients with heart rhythm disorders. He has led the Cardiac Rhythm Management service at Buckinghamshire NHS Trust since 2016, and set-up the Arrhythmia and Complex Device service in Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville Hospitals. He performs ablations on a wide variety of arrhythmias including SVTs and atrial fibrillation, as well as implantation of pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators and left atrial appendage occlusion devices. He is a strong advocate of patient education, and places great emphasis on patient engagement in his clinical practice.
