Dr Nishanth Murukesh

I am a Consultant Medical Oncologist based at the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. I had my training in Medicine from India before moving to the United Kingdom. I worked as Clinical Research Fellow at The Christie Hospital in Manchester for 3 years and then moved to the West Midlands to complete my Medical Oncology Training. I took up the post of Consultant Medical Oncologist in August 2014. I am the Oncology Clinical Service Lead and Clinical Lead for Chemotherapy Service at the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and treat patients across three sites (Worcester Royal Hospital, Alexandra Hospital, and Kidderminster Treatment Centre).

I specialise in the treatment of colorectal, lung and neuroendocrine tumors using chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted treatments. I have special interest in the utility of liquid biopsy in guiding the management of colorectal and lung cancers.
