Dr Nishant Patodi

Dr Nishant Patodi is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Royal Berkshire Hospital since 2014. He has led the inflammatory bowel disease service at Royal Berkshire Hospital since 2015. He finished his gastroenterology and general internal medicine training in West Midlands and was awarded the Internationally renowned Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at St Marks Hospital in 2013. His main interests are treating patients with irritable bowel syndrome, abdominal pain, diarrhoea and inflammatory bowel disease and he regularly performs variety of endoscopy procedures such as gastroscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy and polypectomy. He has performed in excess of 8000 endoscopy procedures to date including 750 procedures in the last year. This includes 400 colonoscopies in the last year where his caecal intubation rate of 95% is in excess of the national requirement of 90%.
