GMC reg: 3380936I am a highly experienced consultant Gynaecologist with vast years of experience not only in general gynaecology but also in colposcopy, uro-gynaecology, laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. I have the required training and accreditations in these specialities. My main areas of clinical expertise include diagnosis and management of menstrual disorders, polycystic ovarian syndrome, menopause and HRT, endometriosis, postmenopausal vaginal bleeding, management of abnormal pap smear, vulval conditions, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, genital tract prolapse, urinary incontinence (UI) (both stress and urgent UI). By way of background, my post graduate training was at the Jessop Hospital Sheffield and the Leeds General Infirmary. I held a substantive consultant post in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for 13 years at the James Paget University Hospital (JPUH) and in 2017 moved to Qatar to help build an O&G unit at Sidra Medicine. Here I dealt with some of the most difficult clinical and surgical cases both in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I have recently returned to UK with a plan and dedication to work entirely in the private sector. During my substantive post at JPUH I held several key management positions including clinical lead role, colposcopy lead and research/development lead. I also took part in many national and international research projects and have had several publications in peer reviewed journals. I had also been working as an expert witness in the speciality in the UK before I moved to Qatar. My surgical outcome data has been excellent and I am proud to say that I have had no litigation case against me throughout my career. In terms of teaching, during my time at JPUH, I held an honorary senior lecturer role for several years at Norwich Medical School. In Qatar I held an honorary professorship at Well Cornell Medical School where I was responsible for teaching the uro-gynaecology module to fourth year medical students.
