Dr Mohammad Ghazavi

Dr Ghazavi has been a dermatologist for more than ten years. Before that, he worked closely with the World Health Organisation regional office on Cutaneous Leishmaniasis in Iran for five years. He has 30 publications and quite a few presentations in national and international conferences on skin conditions such as paediatric skin diseases, skin cancer, allergic contact dermatitis, and hair loss. He is a member of the professional organisations including the BAD (British Association of Dermatologists), EADV (European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology), RSM (Royal Society of Medicine) and Royal College of Physicians. He has worked closely with the NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence) to support developing new guidelines for Hidradenitis Suppurativa and the UKDCTN (UK Dermatology Clinical Trial Network) to help with national research projects on skin diseases. Mahammad is married to Rozita, who is a scientist researching cancer and ageing process. They have a lovely 5-year-old daughter who entertained them with her cute speech and a lot of questions, especially before her bedtime. He loves playing tennis, swimming, and horse riding, and if his workload allows him, he would like to practice playing guitar more regularly. Overall, he is a pleasant chap with an excellent bedside manner, which makes you feel at ease during your consultation.
