Dr Michael Bellamy

Dr Michael Bellamy is a Consultant Cardiologist at Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust, based at Hammersmith Hospital where he has worked since being appointed in 2004. He graduated from the University of London in 1991 with honours and completed an additional intercalated degree in Biochemistry (First Class). He was awarded an MD degree following a period of cardiovascular research at the Welsh Heart Research Institute, Cardiff investigating vascular biology and endothelial function. He completed 2 International Fellowships during his specialist training, one in Echocardiography/Valvular Heart Disease at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, USA and the other in Interventional Cardiology at St Vincent's University Hospital, Sydney, Australia. He is now a Senior Consultant at Imperial Healthcare and sees a wide range of patients both within the NHS and privately contributing to inpatient and outpatient general cardiology services, acute cardiology and primary PCI, echocardiography services, percutaneous coronary and mitral valve interventions, valvular heart disease, valve clinics and all aspects of general cardiology.
