I am a true Luminologist, with specialty knowledge of gastroenterology from mouth through to anus.I am experienced with many specialty procedures, not commonly performed by Gastroenterologists outside of teaching hospitals.  I am dual qualified as a General Medical Physician and Gastroenterologist. I have worked as a Consultant in the NHS for over 15 years. I offer my services at the Spire Harpenden Hospital in Hertfordshire and OSD Hemel Hempstead,  as a General Medical Physician, Gastroenterologist and Endoscopist. I cover general gastroenterological issues such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), functional bowel disorders, food allergies and intolerances (eg Coeliac disease), acid reflux and indigestion (dyspepsia). Within my NHS practice I also run the oesophageal cancer stenting and am a core member of the colorectal cancer screening and MDT. My practice mirrors that of my NHS service, where I aim to provide high quality care with an open and friendly approach.  I perform general endoscopy, upper and lower as well as Capsule Endoscopy.  I keep myself current with the latest medical literature and maintain a high research profile. I am known Nationally and Internationally for the innovative work I have done in developing new models of service provision for gastroenterology patients, utilising modern technologies.
