GMC reg: 5178166Dr Manjusha Rathi is a Consultant Physician in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Lipid Metabolism practicing at Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust. She completed her specialist registrar training at the Yorkshire Deanery, Leeds in December 2009 and has been practicing as Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology since January 2010. Dr Rathi has wide and extensive experience of managing all aspects of Diabetes and endocrine disorders. She is passionate about her field of expertise and her research has been presented at International Conferences in both Europe and the USA and continues to be widely cited in medical literature. She specialises in thyroid disease, reproductive endocrinology (polycystic ovarian syndrome, male & female infertility, menopause, erectile dysfunction) pituitary disease, adrenal disorders, hirsutism, calcium and electrolyte disorders, osteoporosis and diabetes technology including insulin pump therapy. Dr Rathi prides herself in providing an individualized approach to every patient she sees. She is dedicated to staying up to date with the latest and most appropriate advances in the field to ensure that she can offer the best possible treatment to her patients. She has a great passion for improving clinical services and has played instrumental role in developing sub speciality services. She has been Clinical governance lead for 5 years followed by Clinical Service lead for Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology for 2 years at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS trust. She is postgraduate examiner for MRCP (PACES). She is an enthusiastic teacher of both undergraduate students and postgraduate doctors and is actively involved in teaching and training programme. She regularly reviews manuscript for publications, and she is a member of editorial board for four peer review journals.
