GMC reg: 3441901I am a Consultant Interventional Radiologist with over 25 years’ experience, working at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT). I provide a comprehensive range of minimally invasive image-guided treatments for patients with vascular (blood vessel) and liver diseases. I also perform specialist vascular imaging with ultrasound (including Doppler), CT and MRI. I have developed a respected national profile as an Interventional Radiologist. Specifically, I have: Continuously held a national Clinical Excellence Award since 2008. Developed numerous national standards for the delivery of high quality interventional radiology services. Led the training of radiologists for all of Yorkshire and the Humber region. Assessed promising cutting-edge technologies to fast track them into patient care. Alongside my clinical work, I have held the following national roles: 2015-Present: Member of NICE Medical Technologies Advisory Committee. 2016-Present: IR representative, British Liver Transplant Group (BLTG) Committee. 2018-2023: Chair of Interventional Radiology (IR) Committee, Royal College of Radiologists (RCR). 2017-2020: Head of School of Radiology, Health Education England Yorkshire & the Humber. 2013-2015: Secretary of British Society of Interventional Radiology (BSIR). 2005-2010: Member of BSIR Education Committee (Chair 2006-07).
