Dr Daniel Crespi

Hello! My name is Dan Crespi. I have been a Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist since 2011 at the Centre for Paediatric Gastroenterology at the Royal Free and am also involved with the UCL Medical School. I started the Kids Gastro Care clinics in London and Hertfordshire in 2019. I see patients of all ages from infancy through to young people aged 17 and specialise in a variety of GI conditions affecting this age group. I qualified from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine, King’s College London in 2001, and then trained in London in General Paediatrics. I then specialised in Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition working in several of the major Paediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology centres in London and Southampton. I am a member of the British Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (BSPGHAN) and contribute to the Gastrointestinal (GI) motility working group of BSPGHAN. I am actively involved in research in paediatric inflammatory bowel disease.

I see children of all ages from newborn up to 17 with a variety of gastrointestinal issues including: Abdominal pain, Blood in stools, Coeliac disease, Constipation, Diarrhoea, Eosinophilic oesophagitis, Food allergy and intolerances (Lactose intolerance), Functional abdominal pain (now known as Disorders of Gut-Brain Interaction), Gastro-oesophageal reflux and Heartburn, Helicobacter pylori, Inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease and Ulcerative colitis)and Irritable Bowel syndrome, Swallowing and vomiting problems
