GMC reg: 6128313Dr Tapping trained in Medicine and Radiology in Yorkshire and Oxford. He completed an Interventional Fellowship in Radiology in Oxford and was appointed as a consultant in 2012. He works at both the Churchill and John Radcliffe Hospitals. Dr Tapping’s areas of interest include Uro-radiology and Interventional Radiology. He has developed the Prostate Artery Embolisation service in Oxford and been invited to sit on the standards of practice panel (SOP) for Prostatic Artery Embolisation by the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe (CIRSE). Dr Tapping has an active interest in clinical research and contributes data to national databases and registries. He enjoys teaching, both undergraduate medical students as well as postgraduate doctors and is a Tutor in Medicine at Magdalen College, University of Oxford. Dr Taping has published several book chapters, presented research data at many International meetings and has published >50 peer review scientific papers. He is currently the incoming chair to the Research and Audit Committee at the British Society of Interventional Radiology (BSIR). Dr Tapping is married to a GP from Oxfordshire and they have 3 young children. As a family they enjoy cycling, running, skiing and kayaking on the Thames.
