Dr Chamandeep Thind

Dr Chamandeep Thind is a Consultant Dermatologist with over 17 years experience in dermatology and currently works at Warwick Hospital in Warwickshire. After obtaining her medical degree, she obtained further experience in medicine in Australia and UK followed by successful completion of Membership of Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) examination in UK. She previously worked as a Consultant Dermatologist in Worcestershire trust (2010- 2017) after completing her specialty training in Dermatology in Scotland in 2010. During this period she obtained further experience in Paediatric Dermatology and became a fellow of Royal College of Physician of London (FRCP). Dr Thind is on the specialist register of General Medical Council (GMC) and actively participates in teaching and training in her job. She was the departmental lead for medical students' teaching in Worcestershire trust and subsequently in Warwickshire trust. She has an additional role as educational supervisor for dermatology trainee in the department to meet their training and educational needs. She has done various teaching presentations for GPs over the years. Dr Thind also actively participates in research. She was also the Principal investigator for nationwide trial (BADBIR) for such patients organised by British association of Dermatologists. She is a co-investigator in a study on Eczema in Warwick hospital and has published in different journals during her career. She has a special interest in Medical Dermatology and has dealt with patients with complicated inflammatory conditions amongst others. She manages all types of skin conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, hair disorders, vulval disorders and various types of skin lesions and skin cancers. She managed a difficult to treat psoriasis clinic while being a consultant in Worcester. She has managed patients with skin cancers and benign /malignant lesions throughout her career in Dermatology, both in a dedicated lesion/skin cancer clinic and in general clinics. She is a core member of Multidisciplinary team meetings (MDT) and participation in a MDT is an essential criterion for managing and treating patients with skin cancers. She has regular skin surgery lists for removal of skin lesions and biopsies of various types of skin lesions and rashes. She is honest, very thorough and empathetic in her approach to patients. Dr Thind fully understands the vast social and psychological impact of skin conditions on people's life and gives her best in providing patient care.
