GMC reg: 6027306Dr Asad Qureshi is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. In his NHS and private practice, he specialises in the treatment of upper and lower gastro-intestinal cancers, including Oesophageal cancer, Stomach cancer, Colon/Rectal cancer and Anal cancer. Dr Qureshi trained at St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospitals medical schools where he gained a BSc in neurosciences. He completed his specialist training in Clinical Oncology at a number of specialist departments in London, including Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, St Bartholomew’s Hospital and The Royal Marsden Hospital. During his training he spent two years working in the Imaging Sciences Laboratories at Kings College London assessing novel radiotherapy techniques for the treatment of thoracic tumours. Dr Qureshi plays an active role in research and is a Principle Investigator on a number of national clinical trials. His research interests include Stereotactic Radiotherapy (SABR), Image-guided Radiotherapy (IGRT) and dose escalation of radiotherapy and he has published a number of papers in this field. Dr Qureshi is committed to medical education. He is a clinical and educational supervisor for Clinical Oncology trainees at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust as well as a Medical Supervisor for allied health professionals undertaking non-medical prescribing courses.
