GMC reg: 5207076I have been a Consultant Gastroenterologist at South Tees NHS Trust (James Cook University Hospital) since 2011. I have a particular interest and expertise in diagnostic gastroenterology, including endoscopy and colonoscopy, and management of Inflammatory bowel Disease (Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's disease), Capsule endoscopy and small bowel disease, Coeliac disease and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). I have a weekly dedicated IBD clinic with access to multi-professional team including dietitians, specialist nurses and radiologists. I have expertise in the management of complex IBD and have successfully treated patients who have been struggling with their symptom for a long time. In addition, I have extensive research experience in IBD, and have collaborated nationally with major IBD units. I have expertise in capsule endoscopy assessment of the small and large intestine, and have been accredited by the British Society of Gastroenterology for provision of colon capsule service. I have a caring and friendly manner, I undertake all private diagnostic gastroscopy/ colonoscopy and colonoscopy myself. I can ensure appropriate investigation and treatment of your symptoms and access input from multi-professional team as required.

Core member of the IBD MDT at South Tees Formal research experience in IBD during registrar training, evaluating the influence of advances in medical treatment on the natural history of IBD and surgical rates Expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy & Colonoscopy Expertise in cancer surveillance in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) Expertise in minimally invasive endoscopy techniques- small bowel and colon capsule endoscopy (Accreditation approved by British Society of Gastroenterology for colon capsule) Small bowel endoscopy (Push and Single balloon enteroscopy) Expertise in managing irritable bowel syndrome, cyclical vomiting, chronic diarrhoea symptoms, anaemia, heartburn, abdominal pain. Interest and expertise in facilitating endoscopy training- clinical lead for endoscopy training and governance at South Tees
