Dr Anand Trip

Dr S Anand Trip is a Consultant Neurologist and Honorary Associate Professor at the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, Queen Square and Northwick Park Hospital. He studied at the University of Edinburgh Medical School and did postgraduate neurological training in London, mainly at the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, Queen Square. He completed a PhD at the UCL Institute of Neurology which looked at markers of axonal loss and myelination in patients with optic neuritis. He has published widely in leading international peer-reviewed journals. At Queen Square, he runs a large clinic for patients with multiple sclerosis and related neuroinflammatory disorders such as neuromyelitis optica. He is Co-chair of the Queen Square MS Centre where he supervises a PhD student and is a Principal Investigator of clinical trials. He is also the hospital’s clinical lead for audit and quality improvement. At Northwick Park, he sees a large number of patients in his general neurology clinics, offers an in-patient neurology consultation service to other clinicians, and provides neurological input to the Regional Hyperacute Rehabilitation Unit. He also teaches undergraduate medical students and postgraduate doctors in training.

All adult neurological problems including headaches, dizziness, blackouts, numbness/tingling, weakness, tremors, balance & walking problems, memory problems, visual symptoms. Special interests include Multiple Sclerosis, NMO, neuro-ophthalmology.
