GMC reg: 6096254After completing my MBBS and FRCA, I worked as a substantive NHS consultant till 2022 then decided to pursue career in independent sector. I also have FICM; PGCE Part 1 and 2; ATLS; APLS; ALS; Case investigator Workshop by NCAS and Bond Salon Excellence in report writing. I gained confidence in physics, pharmacology, physiology and technology which are all paramount scientific aspects of health care part of ICM. Efficiently combining this with the human aspects of healthcare - good communication with patients, relatives and colleagues, at times of both physically and emotionally demanding and stressful situations allowed me to provide advanced organ support during critical illness and take responsibility for coordinating the care of most critically ill patients in the hospital, encompassing the entire spectrum of medical and surgical pathology. I am committed to continued personal and professional development. I have organised a simulation training for the region and have participated as faculty for the same. I am on the interview panel for the deanery for selection of candidates for anaesthetics. I understand the importance of undergraduate teaching and take responsibility to contribute towards this. I have interviewed CT1 trainees twice for anaesthetics and done OSCE for fourth year medical students. I use appropriate audio-visual techniques to address my target audience. I take lectures, teach practical skills and promote problem-based learning. I mentor student ODP’s and up skill them to work towards achieving their learning outcomes. I feel that I am polite, non-judgemental, affable and get on well with my colleagues. This is supported by evidence from my multi-source feedback, comments made by colleagues and consultants, and from my references. I have one international publication and have presented in regional and local meetings. Clinically, I have been told by my colleagues and supervisors that my clinical acumen is good. I give great attention to detail from the very beginning as I strongly believe in getting it right the first time. I am a very caring and compassionate person and strive to work together with the team to improve health and well-being of our diverse communities. Together I think we can provide highest standards of safe care whilst treating every individual with dignity and respect. Being a good communicator, I encourage trainees to actively engage in the clinical process. I am a good listener as well and can take account of different perspectives and empathise with others. I respect the contributions and expertise of others. I am skilled in my work, am enthusiastic, confident, self-motivated, committed, empathetic and hardworking, who works with a flexible attitude.
