Dr Dexter Wiseman

Dexter Wiseman is a consultant Respiratory and General Internal Medicine physician at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust with a special interest in sleep medicine. He graduated medical school in 2010 and began his respiratory specialist training in North West London in 2015. Amongst others he has worked at the Hammersmith Hospital, the Royal Brompton and Northwick Park. Dexter is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the National Heart and Lung Institute - Imperial College London having completed a PhD working in Professor Jadwiga 'Wisia' Wedzicha's and Professor Peter Openshaw’s labs. He has previously helped run the London COPD exacerbation cohort and his research interests include RSV and viral causes for COPD exacerbation. More recently Dexter took up a post as a consultant respiratory physician at Chelsea and Westminster hospital and is the lead for non-invasive ventilation for the trust. He previously led a service review of the local sleep service diagnostics pathway and was jointly awarded an HSJ award in the category of modernising medical diagnostics.
