I trained in Manchester and London before coming to Leeds as a Consultant in General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery in 1999. My main work in the NHS is at St James's Hospital and Leeds University, where I am also heavily involved in teaching and research. I have published widely on colorectal disease and am external examiner at a number of Medical Schools

My main focus in the private sector is on hernias and anorectal (bottom) problems. In the NHS I specialise in complex intestinal fistulas, colorectal (bowel) cancer and anorectal (bottom) problems.
