Dr Deborah Boyle

Having trained in all aspects of obstetrics and gynaecology, I chose to become expert in the management of vulval and cervical problems. I manage women with vulval skin abnormalities and vulval pain as well as women who have had abnormal cervical screening (smears). I am also very interested in hormonal effects on women's wellbeing - from Premenstrual syndrome through to the more severe PMDD and then later in women's lives as they reach menopause. I am an accredited colposcopist, a member of societies for the study of vulval disease and disorders and maintain my knowledge and competencies with respect to contraception provision. I have a higher research degree which examined the relationship between vaginal bacteria and development of cervical abnormalities. In addition to the above, I am also a paediatric and adolescent gynaecologist and can see children from toddlers to adolescents.
