Mr David Bodansky

I am a hand and wrist orthopaedic surgeon, and I focus on understanding how your problem affects you. I aim to get you back to your normal life, hobbies and sports as swiftly as possible. I specialise in surgical and non-surgical treatments of the hand and wrist for both adults and children, treating over 3,000 patients a year, of which 500 have surgery, meaning most are treated successfully without surgery.  I trained in Orthopaedics in Liverpool, London and North America, including Fellowship training at Great Ormond Street hospital for children, Wrightington hospital, East Grinstead hospital and Chelsea and Westminster hospital. I ranked first in Europe for hand and wrist surgery, in the European Hand Diploma in 2023, the exam most consultant surgeons specialising in hand surgery sit. In my medical training, I won over thirty prizes and represented the British Hand Society, teaching about hand injuries in Ethiopia. In 2023-2025, I won the ‘I Want Great Care’ Certificate of Excellence, voted by patients and colleagues for delivering outstanding care.
