Dr Dan Smith

Dr Dan Smith has been a consultant clincial oncologist at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust for over 10 years successfully treating patients with thoracic and breast cancer using the latest techniques. He is the Clinical Lead for lung cancer, uses stereotactic radiotherapy to treat isolated metastatic tumours of any tumour origin and gives post-operative radiotherapy for benign orthopaedic conditions such as heterotopic ossification. He is fully recognised by all the major private insurers and also welcomes self-pay and international patients. Consultations can usually be arranged at short notice if requested, either in person or remote as per patient preference. He trained at Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge University, and the University College London Medical School, obtaining Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2003, and Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2008 during specialist training across north and east London. He is the principal investigator of several thoracic cancer trials and has particular interests in advanced radiotherapy techniques, integration of radiotherapy with new systemic therapies, and using real world data to supplement clinical trial results.
