Mr Dan Fagan

Mr Fagan worked in the NHS for 18 years including 6 years as a full time consultant spinal surgeon. During that time he has managed and successfully operated upon patients with paediatric scoliosis, adult scoliosis, spinal instability due to tumour or complex trauma and patients with spinal cord injuries. He has been a consultant now for the last 19 years and he has brought this wide experience to bear in running a successful private practice with a catchment area of over 1.25 million people spread across the Northeast and Yorkshire, including Cumbria and Lancashire. He is published across the field of orthopaedic surgery and more recently in his field of expertise of vertebral body augmentation for osteoporotic spinal fractures. His main interests are helping patients with minimal access lumbar spinal surgery and cervical (neck) surgery for pain and trapped nerves. The advantage of minimal access surgery is quick recovery with short length of stay and low complication rates. He runs a patient centred practice with a full time office based practice manager supported by up to date processes, IT and computer based practice management software, which are fully GDPR compliant. This gives a helpful and user friendly experience for new and returning patients. Dan is a Clinical Chairman within Circle Health Group and responsible for patient safety and clinical governance along with the Senior Management Team at Woodlands Hospital as MAC Chair and Clinical Governance Committee Chairman. He also has a PGDipBA in executive management from LJMU University.
