Mr D'jon Lopez

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Essex. My practice encompasses all aspects of hip, knee and trauma surgery. I gained my undergraduate medical qualifications in 2007 from Imperial College, London, with a period of elective study also undertaken at Harvard University, Boston USA.  My early postgraduate training was undertaken in London, on the South-East Thames training programme, where I gained membership to the Royal College of Surgeons (England). My higher surgical Orthopaedic training was undertaken on the Cambridge orthopaedic rotation. I was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Trauma & Orthopaedics) in 2016. Upon the completion of my specialist training, I undertook further extensive sub-specialty fellowship training in the UK, Germany and Australia. The scope of my fellowship training covered all aspects of primary and revision(re-do) joint replacement surgery, peri-prosthetic joint infection (infection following joint replacement), as well as Orthopaedic oncology and sarcoma surgery. I have a strong clinical interest in revision surgery and the surgical management of peri-prosthetic joint infection.
