Mr Nnadi was appointed Consultant Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2008. He is currently Clinical Lead for Orthopaedic spinal surgery in Oxford. He completed training in Orthopaedic Surgery on the Wessex rotation UK. He was awarded the FRCS (Orth) in 2006. He undertook Spine fellowship training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore London and the Norfolk & Norwich University Teaching Hospital. He was locum Consultant Spine Surgeon at the Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham (2008) before taking up his present post in Oxford. Mr Nnadi has a special interest in Paediatric and Adult deformity in addition to General spinal conditions. He is an ex-Chair of the Research Committee of BASS (British Association of Spinal Surgeons) National executive. Mr Nnadi's research interests are in paediatric deformity. He was Chief investigator for the UK multi-centre Magec rods trial in Early Onset Scoliosis and UK Chief Investigator for the pan-European K-Spine study on Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis. He was also UK lead surgeon for the Spine Tango database until 2015 (International spine registry). Mr Nnadi has published papers on Paediatric and Adult spinal deformity in peer reviewed journals and written chapters in textbooks. He has published a book on Early Onset Scoliosis which is sold worldwide (2015). Mr Nnadi’s work on a ‘Cost analysis of MAGEC rods’ was used as a template for the NICE economic appraisal of non-invasive growing rod treatment in Early Onset Scoliosis.He is convenor of the internationally renowned Oxford Early Onset Scoliosis meetings. He was an educational supervisor to foundation and core trainees for the Oxford deanery. He has been on AO Spine UK and AO Spine International faculties. Mr Nnadi is on the editorial board of the European Spine Journal. He is an Associate Editor on the Editorial Board of the Spine Deformity Journal. He is a reviewer for the European Spine Journal (ESJ) and Bone and Joint Journal (BJJ). He has also been an Expert Medical Technology Adviser to the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) and expert reviewer for the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). Mr Nnadi also led a working party on behalf of BASS developing National Guidelines on management of thromboembolism in spinal surgery. He was appointed to the NICE VTE Guidelines Consultation Committee from February 2016 to February 2018. He is currently Chair of the International Growing Spine Committee of the Scoliosis Research Society. Mr Nnadi is also a Trustee for Scoliosis Association UK (SAUK) and founder of the Foundation for Early Onset Scoliosis CIO.
