Dr Clint Maart is a Consultant Cardiologist and Interventional Cardiologist at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He specialises in the investigation and treatment of coronary artery disease, including: Coronary angiography Coronary angioplasty (PCI) with stent implantation - complex His clinical practice includes the assessment and management of patients with chest pain, angina, breathlessness, palpitations, hypertension and other cardiovascular conditions. Dr Maart performs a high volume of coronary procedures and has extensive experience in both routine and complex coronary intervention. His practice includes the treatment of chronic total occlusions, left main coronary artery disease and heavily calcified coronary arteries using advanced techniques such as rotational atherectomy and intravascular lithotripsy. He also uses intravascular imaging and physiological assessment, including Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) and pressure wire assessment (FFR/iFR), to optimise procedural outcomes. Since becoming a Consultant Cardiologist in 2017, he has performed more than 7,000 coronary procedures. Dr Maart is actively involved in cardiovascular research and serves as a principal Investigator in international clinical trials investigating new treatments for coronary artery disease.
