GMC reg: 4404529I trained on the Manchester orthopaedic training rotation culminating in the exit examinations which I passed in 2002. I undertook further specialty training in lower limb arthroplasty at Kings College Hospital, London, Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading and Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto. I have worked as consultant orthopaedic surgeon in many NHS hospitals and I am a reviewer for many of the prestigious orthopaedic journals. I have published articles in some of the most prestigious orthopaedic journals and continue to maintain an interest in medical research. I have a Masters in orthopaedic science with distinction and Masters in medical research. I currently work at Barlborough Practice Plus Group Hospital.
Trauma and orthopaedic surgery - Hip & Knee
I undertake large volume primary total hip and total knee replacement surgeries including complex primary joint replacements. My special clinical interest include unicompartmental knee replacement and total hip replacement for sickle cell induced avascular necrosis. My other special clinical interest is research around prevention of prosthetic joint infection in clinical practice.
