Dr Bryan Murphy – Consultant Dermatologist, Belfast, Northern Ireland Dr Bryan Murphy is a highly experienced Consultant Dermatologist in Belfast, Northern Ireland, providing expert assessment, diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of skin conditions. He welcomes both self-funding and insured private dermatology patients at Cathedral Dermatology Clinic and also consults for patients referred via Check4Cancer. In addition, he provides teledermatology consultations through MySkinDoctor. After studying Medicine at Queen's University Belfast, Dr Murphy completed his Postgraduate medical training and specialist dermatology training in Northern Ireland. In 2024, he further expanded his expertise by completing advanced training in Cosmetic Dermatology at the prestigious Harley Academy in London. Prior to moving into independent practice, Dr Murphy worked as a Consultant Dermatologist at Belfast City Hospital, where he managed general dermatology, inflammatory skin disease and suspected skin cancer clinics. He also contributed to teledermatology services and led a specialist consultant and nurse-led genital dermatology service. Expert Dermatology Care for Skin Conditions in Belfast and Northern Ireland Dr Murphy provides specialist assessment, diagnosis and treatment for a comprehensive range of skin concerns including rashes, lesions and skin cancer assessment. He regularly performs a variety of minor skin surgery procedures, including: Leadership in Skin Cancer Prevention and Dermatology Passionate about skin cancer prevention and public education, Dr Murphy previously served on the Northern Ireland Skin Cancer Prevention Strategy Group with Cancer Focus NI and was formerly Chair and Multidisciplinary Team Improvement Lead of the Northern Ireland Regional Skin Cancer Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Meeting. Dr Murphy has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed medical publications. He writes a regular skin health column for GNI Magazine and frequently provides expert commentary on dermatology, skin health, skin cancer awareness and skincare topics for regional and national media outlets. Dr Murphy serves on the Guidelines and Therapeutics Subcommittee of the British Association of Dermatologists and is an active member and Treasurer for the British Society of Peno-Scrotal Dermatology.
