Mr. Sujeewa Fernando MBBS, DFFP, FRCOG Consultant Urogynaecologist Clinical Director, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department Wrexham Maelor Hospital Welsh Fellows Representative for the RCOG RCOG Council Member Member, British Society of Urogynaecologists Mr. Sujeewa Fernando is a Consultant Urogynaecologist for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. With a strong passion for education, he was awarded the National Trainer of the Year Award (UK) in 2022, a testament to his dedication to mentoring and training future professionals. Mr. Fernando specializes in pelvic floor surgery for female pelvic floor dysfunction, including: • Bladder prolapse • Vaginal prolapse (posterior wall) • Womb and vault prolapse • Urinary incontinence procedures such as urethral bulking agents, rectus fascial slings, TVT, and colposuspension He is also experienced in: • Cystoscopies and Botox treatments for the bladder • Benign gynaecological surgery, including hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, and hysterectomy • Menopause management Mr. Fernando consistently receives excellent patient feedback, highlighting his expertise and compassionate care.
