I have been a Consultant in General and Vascular surgery since April 2002. I stopped vascular surgery when the services were moved centrally in 2018. I continue to do General and upper GI Surgery. I am the Associate Medical Director (Patient Quality and Safety) in my Trust. I have trained in the Mersey Deanery from 1995 to 1997. I completed a Sauvage Vascular Fellowship in Seattle from 1997 to 1999 and then final years of training at the Freeman Hospital Newcastle and James Cook University Hospital Middlesbrough. I completed my junior doctor training in the North West. I have edited 3 textbooks on surgery and published around a hundred chapters, articles, and research abstracts.
