I am a Consultant Gynaecologist with a specialist interest in endometriosis, pelvic pain and minimally invasive (keyhole) gynaecological surgery. Many women come to see me with symptoms such as painful periods, chronic pelvic pain, heavy or irregular periods, abnormal bleeding, painful intercourse, ovarian cysts, or suspected or confirmed endometriosis. These problems can have a significant impact on daily life, work, relationships, fertility and emotional wellbeing. My aim is to understand what is causing your symptoms, explain your diagnosis in clear, straightforward language, and work with you to find the treatment that is right for you. My clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis, pelvic pain and other benign (non-cancerous) gynaecological conditions, including fibroids and adenomyosis. I also perform diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy (procedures used to examine and treat conditions inside the womb), as well as advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery. Whenever possible, I use minimally invasive techniques to reduce pain after surgery, minimise scarring and help you recover more quickly. I perform a high volume of advanced laparoscopic procedures each year, including surgery for severe forms of endometriosis. I completed a specialist fellowship in advanced endometriosis surgery and have undertaken further accredited training in advanced laparoscopic surgery. I am also an NHS Consultant at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, where I specialise in the care of women with complex benign gynaecological conditions. Alongside my clinical practice, I am actively involved in research, education and the work of the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE).
