Mr Ashok Subramanian

I am dual fellowship trained and certified in Orthopaedic spine and Neurospine surgery. He has completed the prestigious Central London Spinal Fellowship program at Guys & St. Thomas’ Hospital and National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queens Square. He also successfully completed his National Scottish Spinal Deformity Fellowship in Edinburgh and is formally trained in Adult and Paediatric complex deformity corrections including all forms of spinal osteotomies. I treat all conditions of the spine from cranio-vertebral junction to sacrum including trauma, tumour, infection, deformity and degenerative disorders in adult and paediatric patients. His special interests are spinal deformity, minimally invasive spine surgery and endoscopic spine surgery. I was also a Specialist Advisor to NICE for Spinal surgery. I am one of only a few surgeons able to perform endoscopic spine surgery in the UK. I am working to establish this practice in Taunton. I am also currently involved in mentoring other surgeons. I am interested in teaching and continues to be a Senior Clinical Tutor at the University of Bristol.
