Having graduated form Nottingham University Medical School in 1993, he rapidly progressed through surgical training (gaining Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons) and becoming a Consultant General Surgeon at Worcestershire Hospitals in 2004. He is a specialist in laparoscopic surgery techniques and has been involved in training junior surgeons and senior colleagues over the years. Married with two teenage children and a dog (Roxy), he enjoys cycling, swimming, golf and skiing.
